Inspired by the resurgence of the protest movement in the Philippine amid extensive exposition of widespread government corruption, various Filipino migrant organizations and personalities gathered for a hybrid program on 21 September 2025 to form the Kabayan Kontra Korapsyon (Filipino countrymen against Corruption) – Middle East and Africa.

While hundreds of thousands of Filipinos protested in different centers in the Philippines, migrant organizations from the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Qatar, Libya, Israel, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Kenya gathered together and held hybrid program to express their disgust over the blatant corruption of the Philippine government.

The anti-corruption network listed the following calls:

  1. Remove from office, hold accountable, and imprison ALL those involved in the anomalous flood‑control projects and other corrupt schemes from the Duterte administration up to the Marcos administration.

  2. Return the money stolen from the public! Allocate these funds to health, education, housing, compensation for flood victims, and services for OFWs who have suffered abuse.

  3. Abolish all pork‑barrel allocations as well as the secret confidential and intelligence funds.

  4. Make public the Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) of ALL government officials and require them to sign a waiver so their bank accounts and properties can be inspected.

  5. Release the list of contractors and suppliers implicated in graft and linked to government officials and immediately blacklist them. Publicize all bidding documents and government contracts on the internet.

  6. End the rule of political dynasties and the corrupt government system.
